Janata Insurance Company Limited (JICL) is a pioneering first-generation Non-Life Insurance Company in Bangladesh's private sector, incorporated in 1986. Starting with a modest capital, the company has significantly expanded its authorized and paid-up capital over the years. JICL offered 50% of its shares to the public through an Initial Public Offer (IPO) in 1994, and later increased its capital through rights shares in 2011.
