Sonali Paper & Board Mills Limited (SPBML) is a significant entity within the Younus Group of Industries. Established in Bangladesh in 1977 as a public limited company under the Companies Act, 1913 & 1994, it came under new ownership in 2006 when the present owner acquired all its shares. Prior to this acquisition, the company had been inactive for an extended period. Under new management, SPBML resumed operations on March 11, 2007, injecting new funds and efforts to revitalize the company. The primary activities of SPBML include the manufacturing of Media, Liner, Simplex, Duplex paperboard, and quality papers such as newsprint and white news. The registered office is located at 51, Central Road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka -1205, with industrial units situated at Jatramura, Tarabo, Rupgonj, Narayanganj. The nature of SPBML's business revolves around the production of various paper and board products, including box board, duplex board, triplex board, cardboard, coated board, packing board, file board, and corrugated board. The company has evolved from its establishment as a private limited company in 1977 to becoming a public limited company in 1985, demonstrating its commitment to growth and development in the paper and board manufacturing sector.
