Standard Ceramic Industries Ltd., established on August 13, 1984, is a public limited company with an authorized capital of Tk. 100 million. The factory's design was crafted by the renowned ceramist Mr. Kyoki Yamazaki of Sone Ceramic, Japan, who later became an expert for the Japan Overseas Development Corporation (JODC). The operating machinery was primarily sourced from well-known Japanese producers. The factory commenced commercial production on September 1, 1993, and is located 10 km from Dhaka International Airport, employing a workforce of 600 people. Under the active and dedicated participation of all SCI personnel, the factory currently produces approximately 47,000 assorted pieces (13.1 M.Tons) of tableware per day. The vitrified Stoneware Products are known for their superb quality and design, coupled with competitive pricing, making them a popular choice both domestically and internationally.
